  • The new results section in SEOprofiler helps you to check and monitor your own websites and the websites of your competitors:

The competitive intelligence tools in SEOprofiler help you to get valuable information about the Google rankings of your competitors:

    • Which pages of your competitors are ranked on Google?
    • For which keywords are your competitors ranked?
    • How many websites compete for the same keywords?
    • In which countries are your competitors ranked?

We monitor the rankings and Google AdWords ads for the 7.5 million most popular keywords. The top 1,000 keywords account for 10.6% of all searches, and every fifth search is for one of the most popular 10,000 keywords. 20-25% of all queries have never been searched before. This means that any further keyword after the top 10,000 ones belongs to the “long tail”. Long tail keywords are very specific keywords that aren’t searched very often.

The 7.5 million keywords that we check represent the vast majority of the keywords that are regularly searched on Google and that regularly deliver the most visitors.

We monitor keywords in 15 countries of all continents:

    • Austria
    • Australia
    • Brazil
    • Canada
    • France
    • Germany
    • Great Britain
    • India
    • Italy
    • Mexico
    • Netherlands
    • New Zealand
    • Spain
    • Switzerland
    • USA

We support keywords in 7 languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish. Just like the backlink database, the ranking and Google AdWords databases are continually updated.

Now what can you do with that information?

Analyzing the rankings of your competitors can help you in many ways:

    1. Find popular topics: SEOprofiler enables you to find the pages of your competitors that are listed for multiple keywords. The pages of your competitors that are listed for multiple keywords often discuss popular topics.
    2. Find the most important keywords: SEOprofiler enables you to find the keywords for which more than one competitor is listed on Google. It is very likely that these keywords are the most important keywords in your business niche.
    3. Expand your reach: Your competitors can be listed for keywords that you haven’t considered yet. SEOprofiler gives you an overview of all keywords of your competitors. These keywords might also work for your website.
    4. Expand your reach: Your competitors might be listed in different countries than you. These countries might also be suitable for your business.
    5. Improve your landing pages: It’s likely that the top ranked pages of your competitors get the most traffic on your competitors’ websites. Analyze these landing pages to get new ideas for your own pages.

Are your web pages mentioned on social media sites?

The new section in SEOprofiler also enables you to get information about the social media status of your pages:

    • How often has the page been liked or shared on Facebook?
    • How many people have commented on the page on Facebook?
    • Have your friends commented on the analyzed page?
    • How often has the page been tweeted on Twitter?
    • How often has the page been marked on Google Buzz, Delicious and Digg?
    • Is the page mentioned on YouTube?

Weekly backlink and keyword opportunities by email

Earlier this month, we announced our plans for 2011. We’re happy to report that the first item on the list has been finished. :-)

The new opportunities feature automatically monitors your competitors and it sends you new opportunities each week.

    1. Backlink opportunities: new backlinks for you

The backlink opportunities show you the new backlinks that we found for your competitors in the last week. To make sure that your competitors do not step ahead you should try to replicate as many of these links as possible.

To make things easy for you, the newly found links in the weekly backlinks opportunities are sorted by topic. You can quickly find new links from blogs, forums, articles sites, directories, etc. in the report.

    2. Organic keyword opportunities: new keywords for you

The organic keyword opportunities show you the keywords for which your competitors are ranked in Google’s unpaid top 20 results but not your site.

If your competitors are listed for the keywords for which your own website is not listed then your competitors get additional website visitors that do not know your website at all.

The organic keyword opportunities help you to find new keywords for which you can optimize your web pages.

    3. Google AdWords keyword opportunities: better AdWords ads for you

The Google AdWords keyword opportunities show you the keywords for which your competitors bid on Google AdWords but not you.

The weekly AdWords keyword opportunities help you to find new keyword ideas for your own Google AdWords campaigns.

Keep an eye on your competitors

The weekly opportunities are based on the analysis of your competitors. To improve the quality of the opportunities, select a project in your SEOprofiler account and make sure that your competitor watchlist contains websites that compete for the same keywords as your website:

We continually work on new SEOprofiler features and we’re improving existing features based on your feedback. If you have comments or suggestions, don’t hesitate to let us know.

SEOprofiler already has a lot of powerful SEO tools that help you to get higher rankings and more website visitors. However, we’re listening to your feedback and we’re continually improving SEOprofiler to make sure that you get the best possible results.

We plan to release four major features this year that will make your SEO life much easier.

Here’s what we’re currently working on:

    1. A powerful ranking monitor (completed: December 2011)

Knowing where your website ranks for different keywords on different search engines is important if you want to run a structured SEO campaign.

SEOprofiler already checks 7.5 million keywords but the planned ranking monitor enables you to check the rankings of your own keywords:

    • You will find out where exactly your website ranks on search engines.
    • You will get detailed information about the position of your website and the position of your competitors.
    • You will be able to specify your own keywords and the monitoring interval.
    • The ranking monitor will be integrated with many other tools in SEOprofiler.
    • You will be able to create reports for your own company and for your clients.

    2. A sophisticated link manager (completed: August 2011)

Link building is one of the most important tasks if you want to get high rankings on Google and other search engines. That’s why SEOprofiler offers so many link building tools.

The link builder in SEOprofiler will offer you the following features:

    • It will be fully integrated with all current link building and link analysis tools in SEOprofiler.
    • You’ll be able to manage all of your backlinks (organic links, blog links, paid links, forum links, content links, etc.).
    • You’ll be able to manage the contact information of your link partners.
    • You’ll be able to check your backlinks on a regular basis.
    • You’ll be able to create reports for your own company and for your clients. (Will be added with the report feature for all other SEOprofiler tools.)

    3. Custom reports in your company design (completed: January 2012)

Reports can help you to present your work to your boss and to your clients. In future SEOprofiler versions, you’ll be able to create custom reports in your company design that you can send to your clients:

    • You’ll be able to create reports in your company design.
    • You’ll be able to customize the report contents with your own information.
    • The custom reports will have no reference to SEOprofiler.

    4. Regular backlink, ranking and Google AdWords opportunities (completed: July 2011)

The new opportunities tool in SEOprofiler will inform you about things that you can do to improve your website:

    • Every week, you’ll get a list of backlink opportunities so that your website stays ahead of the competition.
    • Every week, you’ll get opportunities to improve your Google AdWords campaigns.
