New in SEOprofiler: track rankings by URL ending

We have added a new feature in the Ranking Monitor. The Ranking Monitor can track rankings by URL ending now.

How does the Ranking Monitor track rankings?

By default, the Ranking Monitor tracks the rankings of all pages of a domain.

For example, if your domain is 123example.com, then the Ranking Monitor will automatically track the rankings of these pages:

  • 123example.com
  • 123example.com/directory/page.html
  • 123example.com/page
  • subdomain.example.com
  • subdomain.example.com/directory/
  • etc.

You do not have to enter the URL of every single page on your website. The Ranking Monitor will automatically track all pages of your site.

In addition to the sitewide check, the Ranking Monitor can also track the rankings of individual URLs. This is a useful feature if you want to track the rankings of external pages such as your Facebook page, a particular YouTube video page, etc.

The Ranking Monitor can also track the rankings of pages that are on a particular subdomain, for example blog.123example.com. The Ranking Monitor can also track the rankings of businesses that do not have a website. For example, Google can list local businesses just with the business name in the local results (‘Peter’s Flower Shop’).

New: track rankings by URL ending

Some companies need to track rankings by URL ending. For example, you might manage the website of a big auto repair shop franchise that offers its services in many different cities. The client might have this URL structure:

  • www.example-auto-repair-shop.com/windscreens/chicago
  • www.example-auto-repair-shop.com/windscreens/miami
  • www.example-auto-repair-shop.com/tires/new-york
  • www.example-auto-repair-shop.com/tires/chicago
  • www.example-auto-repair-shop.com/tires/miami
  • etc.

If you want to create reports for the New York franchise, then you only want to track the rankings of the pages that are related to New York. As all pages are on the same domain, it was difficult to separate these rankings.

The Ranking Monitor now enables you to track rankings by URL ending. Go to SEOprofiler > Your project > Ranking Monitor > Monitored URLs > Add monitored domains and pages and enter the characters on which the URLs should end. Then choose the ‘URL ending’ option:
