  • Google to publish human search quality rater guidelines?

Google uses human quality raters who check the quality of the pages that can be found on Google’s search result pages. Although the quality raters don’t have direct influence on Google’s ranking algorithm, their ratings help Google’s engineers to improve the algorithm.

Google’s human quality raters use guidelines that help them to judge the quality of a website. Google’s Matt Cutts announced that these guidelines might be available to the general public soon:

What’s in Google’s human search quality rater guidelines?

Previous versions of the guidelines leaked before and most of the guidelines are common sense. Your website should have a clear navigation, it should be clear what your website is about, the page should be helpful, etc.

Pages that don’t offer any value to the visitor won’t get good ratings. If you want to know how to create valuable websites that also get high rankings on Google, read the SEOprofiler manual.

The manual explains how to create good content, how to improve the conversion rate of your web pages, how to make sure that your pages get high rankings on Google, and much more.
