    The ‘Competitors’ panel

    The Ranking Monitor does more than giving you valuable information about the position of your website. It also checks the rankings of your competitors for your keywords. You will quickly see which of your competitors have better rankings than your site:

    • Domain: the domain of your competitor
    • Total rankings: the total number of rankings that the competitor has for your keywords
    • Average position: the average position of the competitor for your keywords
    • First place: the the number of first place rankings of the competitor for your keywords
    • Top 3: the the number of top 3 rankings of the competitor for your keywords
    • Page 1: the the number of page 1 rankings of the competitor for your keywords

    The ‘Competitor visibility scores’ table

    The Visibility score shows how well your website and your competitors are ranked on Google, Yahoo and Bing for your keywords.

    For every ranking, there are points. First place rankings get the most points, position 50 gives only one point, no ranking gives no points.

    A visibility score of 100% means that the website has first place rankings for all of your keywords.

    • Google, Yahoo, Bing: the visibility score of the competitor on the search engine
    • Total: the visibility score of the competitor on all three search engines combined

    The search engine tables

    The search engine tables show how well the competitors are listed on Google, Yahoo and Bing:

    • Total rankings: the total number of rankings that the competitor has for your keywords
    • Average position: the average position of the competitor for your keywords
    • First place: the the number of first place rankings of the competitor for your keywords
    • Top 3: the the number of top 3 rankings of the competitor for your keywords
    • Page 1: the the number of page 1 rankings of the competitor for your keywords
