  • Google’s Panda algorithm targets websites that have low quality content. In a webmaster Q&A session on YouTube, a webmaster asked Google’s John Mueller the following question:

    “If a site has thousands of old blog posts that rarely get read, could this impact them negatively in the eyes of Panda? Should we be noindexing old blog posts?”

    John Mueller said that it depends. He said that this was a tricky topic because it often makes sense to keep an archive of things. If the old articles have a low quality, then it makes sense to delete these articles.
